SPEC: DoorDash Small Landing Page
Client:
DoorDash
Challenge:
I created a landing page for DoordDash Small which included a hero area and 2 additional sections, one focusing on the ability to increase customers and profit, and the other focused on how easy it is to set up and use DoorDash.
This landing page was aimed at small, independently owned restaurants that are not yet DoorDash Partners.
Solution:
Hero Area - I created a landing page that helped showcase the key benefits that restaurants would gain if they became a partner with DoorDash Small. The main benefit highlighted in the hero area is the increase in profit that the restaurant would gain. I chose to go with the headline ‘Discover a new world of customers and realise up to a 60% increase in customers’, as the purpose of a restaurant would be to make a profit and attract customers, this would be the main incentive for them to sign up.
In the hero area, I chose to highlight the reviews and downloads that DoorDash Small has received as this is a form of social proof. It shows prospective customers that the business is worth trusting and has delivered on its expectations with their previous customers.
For the subhead/hook, I supported the headline with features ‘10,000 monthly food lovers’ as a way to reaffirm that the restaurant that becomes a partner would have access to all those customers and would have the potential to achieve the profits mentioned.
The CTA ‘become a partner in 3 minutes’ was used to emphasise how quick and easy it is to sign up.
Section One - The first section is a deeper dive into the benefits stated in the hero area. I explain in more detail that customers are excited to find a new restaurant and they are willing to spend money using the app, I emphasised this by using verbs such as ‘seeking’ and ‘encounter’.
Section Two - In the final section, I highlighted how quick and easy it is to sign up. I used short statements instead of a sentence to make the headline more impactful. The three-statement headline I used, coincides with the 3 step registration process.
The tone used throughout the landing page was Casual-Friday professional, Simple, and Reassuring as this matched the brand voice of the business but also connects better with the target audience.
